The story:

Chev Worke thought he had found a path to easy money. It was quite simple, really: sacrifice Christmas with his family and drive his truck across the country on an overnight run for his employer. Done. Case closed.

He just didn't count on things going wrong and getting stranded on State Highway 59 with no one around except for a pack of hungry werewolves.

Barely escaping with his life, Chev makes it to a grocery store in Easter Glen only to learn of a secret pact that has been in place for centuries, the only thing that keeps the town safe from the bloodthirsty beasts.

There's just one problem: the pact has been broken and Chev is thrust into a world where nightmares run on all fours, blood flows freely and no one is ever safe.

In Easter Glen, by the time you hear a Snarl, it's too late.

What folks are saying:

"A furiously relentless tour-de-force full of wolf-on-man and man-on-wolf violence and an unexpectedly subtle morality theme. Lorne Dixon's Snarl will easily fulfill your growing adult werewolf fiction needs--and you know you have them! It's safe to say the wolf is back in town--and he's pissed. Vampires need not apply! Snarl is like a first-person shooter, fast and heart-pounding."
- W.D. Gagliani, author of Wolf's Trap and Wolf's Gambit

"Dixon does a great job of breathing life into the werewolf story. Snarl is an action-packed monster-fest with a couple of nifty tricks up its sleeve."
- The Horror Fiction Review

"Lorne Dixon has put the horror back in the holidays with a sleek silver bullet of a book--Snarl. Hang on to your hats, because it's a wild ride. From the startling first chapter to the brutal finale, you're in for a great time as Dixon hurtles you from one horrifying chase scene to the next. One truly exciting twist on werewolf mythology, and I can't wait to see what Dixon writes next."
- William D. Carl, author of Bestial: Werewolf Apocalypse

"At all times during this book you get a feeling that things could explode at any moment. Dixon keeps you enthralled, reminds you that everything is teetering on the edge. Snarl is a rollercoaster of a ride. It'll raise your adrenaline, get your blood pumping . . . you'll be thoroughly entertained. Dixon delivers here. Give Snarl a read."

Nossa Morte

I'm proud to announce the sale of my short story Where Candles Will Not Burn to the outstanding online horror fiction magazine NOSSA MORTE. Melissa and Mike De Kler run a fantastic magazine and I'm proud to be a small part of their world. Where Candles Will Not Burn straddles the line between fantasy and the Lovecraftian weird tale- the story of a trio of adventurers sent to the edge of the kingdom to investigate a strange contagion in a small outpost called Devil's Collar. The story is set to appear in the upcoming May issue. Nossa Morte is free, so there's no reason not to check it out. You'll be glad you did.

Strange Stories Of Sand And Sea

Strange Stories Of Sand And Sea, edited by Esther Schrader, is now available from Fine Tooth Press. This anthology features a wide variety of speculative stories in beach front settings. There are a good number of horror stories here, but against expectations, mine isn't one of them. Beach Moths, my contribution, is a pitch black science fiction story. Available to order from Amazon, and B&N.

"Read Lorne's story, Beach Moths, before I went to bed. Wow! Fantastic little sci fi horror gem. Seriously, it's just awesome."
